Molecular Structure:
Violent or explosive reaction on mixing with dimethyl sulfoxide. Ignites on contact with ammonia, ammonium carbonate, or organic amines. A fabric treatment mixture of the urea with 1-(4-nitrophenylazo)-2-naphthol + zinc oxide may ignite spontaneously in storage, especially if heated. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of Cl− and NOx.
