Slack waxes,a soft, oily, crude wax obtained from the pressing of petroleum paraffin distillate or wax distillate.
They are minimally refined high oil products and derived from lubricating oils and with relatively high oil content, or are further processed to produce more refined waxes.
Most slack waxes do not meet FDA requirements for food packaging. Slack waxes range from 40°C to 65°C in melting point, and their oil content ranges from 5.0% to as much as 35%.Color from White, yellow to brown.
