Light controlled: A material that allows for insulin to be released in a controlled fashion by using light was prepared. A subcutaneous reservoir of such materials could allow for the non-invasive control of blood sugar. Insulin (blue in picture) was linked to an insoluble resin (green) through a photocleavable linker (red).
