It is primarily used as a dye intermediate and a fluorescent probe for various applications, including protein studies and the engineering of photoluminescent nanomaterials.

1-ANILINONAPHTHALENE-8-SULFONIC ACID AMMONIUM SALT is used as a sensitive indicator for protein folding, conformational changes, and protein studies. Used in Di-Block Polymers:
