Usage

Description

Tocoretinate, also known as Tretinoin tocoferil, is an α-tocopherol ester of all-trans-retinoic acid (R250200). It is a compound that has been developed for the treatment of various types of skin ulcers and is also an orally active agent for gastric ulcer treatment. Tocoretinate belongs to a new class of antiulcer drugs that act by directly promoting tissue repair, which is different from common drugs that work indirectly by suppressing acid secretion and providing mucosa protection. Its mode of action is believed to be related to its ability to stimulate DNA synthesis of growth-arrested human skin fibroblasts by promoting the expression of the epidermal growth factor receptor.

Uses

Used in Skin Ulcer Treatment:
Tocoretinate is used as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of bedsores and skin ulcers such as burn, leg, and diabetic ulcers. It promotes tissue repair and healing, making it an effective treatment option for these conditions.
Used in Gastric Ulcer Treatment:
