Aryltrimethylammonium Tetrafluoroborates in Nickel-Catalyzed C–P Bond-Forming Reactions
Li, Chun Jing
, p. 954 - 960 (2021/07/22)
Abstract: The first nickel-catalyzed phosphorylation of aryltrimethylammonium tetrafluoroborates with the formation of C–P bond instead of C–N has been developed. Starting from easily available and inexpensive aromatic amines, a variety of important arylphosphonates have been synthesized in moderate to excellent yields.
Palladium-catalyzed solvent-free preparation of arylphosphonates Arp(O)(OAr)2 from (Aro)3p via the Michaelis-Arbuzov rearrangement
Li, Chunya,Han, Li-Biao
supporting information, p. 3613 - 3617 (2020/11/03)
The Pd-catalyzed Michaelis-Arbuzov rearrangement of triaryl phosphites to produce the corresponding arylphosphonates in good to excellent yields is disclosed. In comparison to the traditional methods, this new method is highly atom efficient and is general, as it can be readily extended to aryl phosphonites and phosphinites. A gram-scale reaction of (PhO)3P to PhP(O)(OPh)2 with low loading of the catalyst was also demonstrated to show its potentially practical usefulness. A plausible mechanism is proposed.
Visible light-induced 4-phenylthioxanthone-catalyzed aerobic oxidation of triarylphosphines

supporting information, p. 3880 - 3883 (2018/09/27)
We report herein a visible light-induced oxidation of triarylphosphines under aerobic condition with excellent functional group tolerance. In this transformation, the photo catalyst 4-phenylthioxanthone acted as a photosensitizer for the in situ generation of singlet oxygen. This new approach provided a cheaper and greener method for the preparation of phosphine oxide, showing great advantages in environmental protocols.
