Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 61998-04-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,1,9,9 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 61998-04:
(7*6)+(6*1)+(5*9)+(4*9)+(3*8)+(2*0)+(1*4)=157
157 % 10 = 7
So 61998-04-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Visible-Light-Induced Photocatalytic Synthesis of β-Keto Dithiocarbamates via Difunctionalization of Styrenes

Vishwakarma, Ramesh Kumar,Kumar, Saurabh,Singh, Krishna Nand

supporting information, p. 4147 - 4151 (2021/05/26)

A facile photocatalyzed strategy for difunctionalization of styrenes in the presence of CS2 and amines providing β-keto dithiocarbamates has been developed. In the case of 4-nitrostyrene and 2-vinylpyridine, however, only 2-arylethylthiocarbamates are interestingly formed without the aid of photoredox catalysis/TBHP.

A novel isocyanide-based three-component reaction: A facile synthesis of substituted 2H-pyran-3,4-dicarboxylates

Khalilzadeh, Mohammad A.,Hossaini, Zinatossadat,Baradarani, Mohammad M.,Hasannia, Adel

experimental part, p. 8464 - 8467 (2010/11/19)

An efficient method for synthesis of 2H-pyran-3,4-dicarboxylates using the three-component reaction of dithiocarbamates, dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates, and isocyanides in solvent-free conditions is described. In these reactions, synthesis of dithiocarbamates is possibly based on the one-pot reaction of secondary amines, CS2, and alkyl halides in solvent-free conditions without using a catalyst. The mild reaction conditions and high yields of the reaction exhibit the good synthetic advantage of these methods.
