General Description

Tert-butyl (1-amino-2-methyl-1-oxopropan-2-yl)carbamate is an organic chemical compound with the molecular formula C7H15N3O3. It is a carbamate derivative with a tert-butyl group attached to the nitrogen atom, and an amino and oxopropan-2-yl groups attached to the carbon atom. tert-Butyl (1-amino-2-methyl-1-oxopropan-2-yl)carbamate is commonly used as a protecting group in peptide synthesis to block the amino group of specific amino acids, allowing for selective manipulation of peptide chains during synthesis. It is also used in the pharmaceutical industry for the synthesis of various pharmaceuticals and as a reagent in organic chemical reactions.
