83585-61-9 Usage
Uses
2-Aminomethyl-18-crown-6 (AM-18-C-6) can be used to prepare: AM-18-C-6 bonded Merrifield peptide resin, which is used to study the absorption and the isotopic effect of magnesium. Schiff base of gossypol with aminomethyl crown ether for complexation of monovalent cations. Crown tagged triarylphosphine by reacting with triphenylphosphine carboxylic acid. These tagged triarylphosphine reagents are used in Mitsunobu and Heck reactions for the removal of phosphine derived by-products. 1,16-hexadecanoyl-bis-(2-aminomethyl)-18-crown-6 (bola A-16), which is utilized as a vesicular carrier in a drug delivery system.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 83585-61-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,3,5,8 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 83585-61:
(7*8)+(6*3)+(5*5)+(4*8)+(3*5)+(2*6)+(1*1)=159
159 % 10 = 9
So 83585-61-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

SYNTHESIS OF CROWN ETHERS BONDED TO A POLYSTYRENE MATRIX THROUGH AN AMIDO LINKAGE AND THEIR USE AS PHASE-TRANSFER CATALYSTS
Anelli, Pier Lucio,Montanari, Fernando,Pollak, Vladimir,Quici, Silvio
, p. 127 - 132 (2007/10/02)
Condensation of amino-functionalized crown ethers with microporous polystyrene bearing carboxyl groups afforded catalysts 15-18, in which the macrocyclic polyether is linked to the matrix through an amino bond. These catalysts are efficient anion activators in aliphatic nucleophilic substitutions under phase-transfer conditions.
