It is a nitrile derivative with a phenyl ring and an amino group attached to a cyano-methyl group and an acetonitrile group. 2-(cyanomethyl-phenyl-amino)acetonitrile is commonly used in organic synthesis as a building block for the preparation of various pharmaceuticals and other organic compounds. It has a wide range of applications in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, including as a precursor for the synthesis of complex organic molecules. It is also used as a reagent in chemical reactions and as an intermediate in the production of fine chemicals.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 86273-74-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,6,2,7 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 86273-74:
(7*8)+(6*6)+(5*2)+(4*7)+(3*3)+(2*7)+(1*4)=157
157 % 10 = 7
So 86273-74-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

We have demonstrated that a cooperative catalytic system comprised of CuCl and Cu(OTf)2 could be used to effectively catalyse the three-, five- and seven-component coupling reactions of aliphatic or aromatic amines, formaldehyde, and trimethylsilyl cyanide (TMSCN), and selectively produce in good yields the corresponding cyanomethylamines, N,N-bis(cyanomethyl)amines and N,N'-bis(cyanomethyl)methylenediamines.
