From a small department started in 1965, the Department of Chemistry has grown into a major center for teaching and research in Chemical Sciences in India. There are about 49 M.Sc. students in post-B.Sc. 2-year M.Sc. program and 61 in a unique post-higher secondary (10 + 2) five year integrated M.Sc. program.
