Solubility:
Glucoraphanin is soluble in water, methanol or alcohol. Arbutin is partially soluble in cold water. Arbutin is insoluble in aether, mineral ether.
Applications:
Glucoraphanin is a glucosinolate found in broccoli and cauliflower, particularly in the young sprouts. When these foods are consumed, the enzyme myrosinase transforms glucoraphanin into sulforaphane which has potential health benefits.Sulforaphane is an organosulfur compound that exhibits anticancer, antidiabetic, antioxidant,anti-radiation and antimicrobial properties in experimental models.
Stability and Storage:
Notes: Glucoraphanin must store away from oxidizing agents. Sulforaphane should be shield from light,heat and water.
