General Description	A colorless, nonflammable gas. May asphyxiate by the displacement of air. Under prolonged exposure to fire or heat the containers may rupture violently and rocket. Used to make other chemicals.
Reactivity Profile	OCTAFLUORO-2-BUTENE may be incompatible with strong oxidizing and reducing agents. Also may be incompatible with many amines, nitrides, azo/diazo compounds, alkali metals, and epoxides.
