Conantokin G: inhibits NMDA receptors Conantokin G has been isolated from the venom of the cone Conus geographus. This toxin selectively inhibits NR2B sub units of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor-mediated calcium influx in central nervous system neurons. Conantokin G induces sleep-like symptoms in young mice and hyperactivity in older mice (SERT). This compound is currently being evaluated in phase II clinical trials under the name CGX-1007 by Cognetix Inc. It has been shown to be an effective antiepileptic agent in several animal models of seizures. Purity rate: >98% Price: 1mg - 190€
