SN244 is a mercaptan modified chloroprene rubber with excellent adhesive strength and produced using a Nairit recipe and process technology. SN244 has a high crystallization rate and can be seen as an equivalent to the AD-40 grade from Dupont. 

A. ProPerties and Characteristics 
SN244 grade polychloroprene has a fast rchte of crystallization and its formulations exhibit high initial and ultimate bond strengths. Of the SN24x series, this grade has the highest viscosity and has good solubility and homogeneity. It can be used for light colored adhesives with adequate stability. Adhesive formulations based on SN244 exhibit excellent film forming properties and rapid bond formation while the films are easily and safely processed for longer times. SN244 can be dissolved in toluene or mixed solvents. SN244 exhibits the good oil resistance, chemical resistance, ozone and aging resistance as well as the sunlight resistance, typical of polychloroprene.

C. Applications 
SN244 is a basic raw material for adhesive formuiation, particularly for formulations of higher viscosity. 1t can be used alone or mixed with other grades to achieve the desired viscosity. As an adhesive raw material it finds application in the shoe industry as well as for bonding 1eather, wood, metal and constrution materials.
