SN121 is a general purpose, sulfur modified polychloroprene rubber produced using a Nairit recipe and process technology.SN121 has a medium to low crystallization rate and can be seen as an equivalent to the GNA grade from Dupont.

A.Properties and Characteristics
SN121 breaks down well under mechanical shear to produce smooth compounds with little stickiness. It shows good compatability witli other grades of CR. Compared with CR121, SN121 has improved processability, can be more easily milled to reduce its molecular weight or for mixing with other rubbers or for compounding; it also better for extrusion processing. The surface of the compounds from SN121 are Smooth and die swell tends to be smaller than for CR121. Cured with metal oxides the compounds cure rapidly but have a reasonabIe scorch safety. SN121 compounds exhibit the good oil resistance, chemical resistance, ozone and aging resistance as well as the sunlight resistance, typical of polychloroprene. Also typical are their good fire resistance and electrical properties.
