9004-62-0 China (Mainland) Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) Suppliers Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) CAS NO.9004-62-0
Specifications
Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose raw material HEC CAS NO :9004-62-0 Thickener, used as adhesive protective gelatin
Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose raw material HEC
Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) products are water-soluble polymers that thicken, form films, exhibit pseudoplastic solution behavior, tolerate salts and retain water. This versatile family of products is offered under the CELLOSIZE™ brand, and is widely used in latex paints, building materials, oilfield chemicals and cleaning products, along with many other specialty applications.
HS code: 39123900 Technical specifications: 1) Molar substitution degree: 1.8 - 2.0ms 2) Loss on drying: ≤10% 3) Water insoluble matter: ≤0.5% 4) PH value: 6.0 - 8.5 5) Residue on ignition: ≤5% 6) Viscosity: 5 - 100,000mPa.s
Physical properties: 1) White or yellowish mobile powder 2) 40 screen pass rate: ≥99% 3) Intenerating point: 135 - 140°C 4) Vision density: 0.35 - 0.61lg/ml 5) Dispersing point: 205 - 210°C 6) Average moisture: 6% at 23°C
As a nonionic surfactant, HEC has the functions such as thickening, suspension, emulsification, adhesion, film formation, dispersion, water retention, providing protection and the following properties:
1. HEC is soluble in heat water or cold water, it don't precipitate under high temperature or boiling, solubility and viscosity changes in a wide range;
2. Because of its nonionic property, it can coexist with other water-soluble polymer, surfactants and salts in wide range, is an excellent colloid thickener for high-concentration electrolyte solution;
3. Its water retention is twice of methyl cellulose, with excellent flow controllability;
4. Its dispersibility is the worst compared with methyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl cellulose, but the protection power for colloid is the strongest.
Applications: HEC is mainly used as adhesive protective gelatin, thicker agent and stabilizing agent as well as additives to make emulsion, frozen gelatin, lotion, eye clear agent, suppository and tablets. HEC is also used for hydrophilic colloid, framework, material, ready-made framework controlled release agent, and stabilizing agent in foodstuff.
