Marigold extract Tagetes Oil 8016-84-0
Tagetes oil has a wild, sweet, fruity almost citrus-like smell and is yellow to reddish-amber in color. It is of medium viscosity that can turn thick and even gel-like if exposed to the air for a long time.
The main chemical components are tagetone, limonene, valeric acid and ocimene etc.
It is native to Australia where it is grown profusely.
Tagetes oil is extracted from the leaves, stalks and flowers, picked when the seeds are just starting to form by steam distillation method.
Appearance:Yellow to Reddish-Amber
Odor:often bitter-sweet and hearbaceous else sweet,floral and fruity
Chemical constituents:Salicyl-Aldehyde, Camphene, Carvone, Citral, Linalool, Limonene, Myrcene, Ocimene, Pinenes, Tagetones and Valeric acid
Application:
1.It is an important ingredient for all such lotions and creams meant for removal of corns and warts on the body.
2.A great insect repellant that also aids removing parasitic and fungal infestation from the body
3.This wonderful oil helps with reduction of coughs and hence curing bronchitis and chest infections. In the diluted form it is an ideal remedy for wounds, bruises and cuts
