D-ribose is a naturally occurring five-carbon sugar with neutral to slight sweetness. D-ribose is a homogenous, free-flowing powder that is white to slight yellow in color. D-ribose is semi-hygroscopic and dissolves readily in water.

D-Ribose is the material used in the synthesis of Vitamin B2(Riboflavin}, Tetra-O·AcetyI--Ribose and nucleoside etc. D-Ribose is also used in the production of health care-related products or even food additive.

D-Ribose occurs widely in nature. It forms backbone of RNA, a biopolymer that is the basis of genetic transcription. It is related to deoxyribose, as found in DNA. Once phosphorylated, ribose can become a subunit of ATP, NADH, and several other compounds that are critical to metabolism.

 

3.Storage: 

D-ribose should be kept in the sealed shipping container at room temperature, avoiding light and moisture, until ready for use. The container should be resealed immediately after use. The shelf life of the D-ribose is 12 months, in the original unopened container.
