PRODUCT NAME: | TRIETHYLENEDIAMINE |
PRODUCT CODE: |
TEDA |
CAS NO.: | 280-57-9 |
EMPIRICAL FORMULA: | C6H12N2 |
DESCRIPTION: | TEDA is a high-purity crystalline catalyst for polyurethane foam applications. It consists of 99 wt.% (minimum) triethylenediamine on a water-free, amine base. |
ADVANTAGES: |
Excellent fogging performance Excellent PVC- staining performance |
APPLICATIONS: |
TEDA crystalline catalyst is used in all types of polyurethane foams including flexible slabstock, flexible molded, rigid, semi-flexible and elastomeric. It is also used in polyurethane coatings applications. TEDA crystalline catalyst accelerates the reactions between the isocyanate and water and the isocyanate and organic hydroxyl groups. In flexible slabstock foam systems, TEDA crystalline catalyst can be used with a stannous octoate catalyst. In flexible molded systems, TEDA crystalline catalyst can be used with a blowing co-catalyst. In rigid systems, TEDA crystalline catalyst is frequently used with DMEA (dimethylethanolamine) catalyst. |
