This chemical is yellow red powder. It can be soluble in water with solubility of 80g / L at 90 °C. The solution shows big red. When adding concentrated hydrochloric acid, the solution will turn into red with precipitation. When adding concentrated sodium hydroxide, the solution will change to orange. This chemical is also soluble in alcohol with appearance of red. When it in concentrated sulfuric acid, it will show cherry red. After diluted, the solution will change to red. Acid Red 6 is used for wool, silk and blended fabric dyeing. And it can be printed directly on wool and silk.
