Function:

1.The root of Chinese scullcap contains the flavonoids baicalin, wogonin, and baicalein, and most studies have involved these substances rather than the whole herb.

2.the methanolic extract of 3 flavonoids, wogonin, baicalein, and baicalin, to have an effect similar to prednisolon

3.Baicalin demonstrated the greatest inhibition activity when compared with baicalein and wogonin. 11 Wogonin, baicalein, and baicalin all have been found to influence some anti-inflammatory pathways via certain proteins, antigens, and enzymes

4.the use of Baical skullcap as an anti-inflammatory agent.

major flavonoids (baicalein, baicalin, wogonin, and wogonoside) have been studied in various systems, confirming several antioxidant activities.

5.Because of its beneficial effects as an antioxidant, Baical skullcap also has been studied in immunology and cancer research.

 

Application:

 

1,Baikal skullcap is used to treat respiratory infections, hay fever, and fever. It is also used for gastrointestinal (GI) infections, 

as well as livers problems including viral hepatitis and jaundice.
2,Baikal skullcap for HIV/AIDS, kidney infections, pelvic inflammation, and sores or swelling. It is also used for ,scalet fever,

headache , irritability, red eyes , flushed face, seizures, , hysteria, nervous tension, and to relieve a bitter taste in the mouth.
3,The active ingredient in Baikal skullcap, baicalin, is used in combination with shung hua (ephedra) to treat upper respiratory 

tract infections. In combination with other herbs, Baikal skullcap is used to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),

prostate cancer , a lung condition called bronchiolitis, arthritis and hemorrhoids.
4,Baikal skullcap is also sometimes applied to the skin for psorasis.
