Properties: white transparent crystal, it is easily soluble in ether, ethanol, acetone and other organic solvents, soluble in hot water. Melting point 140℃,it is highly toxic chemical product.

Application:

An intermediate used in the synthesis  of engineering  polymers, para-aramid fibers, hair dyes, rubber chemicals, textile dyes and pigments. p-PDA is  selected for the outstanding  properties it imparts, including high temperature stability, high strength and chemical and electrical resistance.  

 Dye intermediate: Azo dyestuff, Sulphur dyestuff, Acid dyestuff and rubber antioxidant

 Polymerization: PPD+ Terephthaloyl chloride →Polyterephthaloyl-p-phenylene diamine fibre

 Dyestuff: PPD + HCL +HF →Black dyestuff
