Uses α-Adrenoceptor agonist with sedative and analgesic activity. Sedative.
Uses Detomidine produce dose-dependent sedative and analgesic effects, mediatated by activation of α2 catecholamine receptors.
Veterinary Drugs and Treatments At present, detomidine is only approved for use as a sedative analgesic in horses, but it has been used clinically in other species.
