Description :
N-Ethyl-2-pyrrolidone is colorless, transparent and alkalescent liquid, wit a boiling point of 212°C. It is a polarity organic solvent. It can dissolve mutually with water and solvent at any proportion.
N-Ethyl-2-pyrrolidone and its derivatives are used as Intermediates for the synthesis of agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, textile auxiliaries, plasticizers, polymer solvent, stabilizers, specialty inks and as a nylon precursor.
N-Ethyl-2-pyrrolidone is a keto-pyrrole, that is a 5-membered lactam structure compound (gamma-butyrolactam). Lactam structure compound including pyrrolidone has good solvency property, therefore Pyrrolidone is useful in industrial application.
Application :
N-Ethyl-Pyrrolidone  (NEP) is an organics synthesis intermediates. It can be used chemical synthesis and organic solvent.
