Bitertanol is a foliar-applied triazole fungicide used to protect tropical and subtropical crops in agriculture, in particular bananas. Bitertanol has effects on behavior that are similar to those of psychomotor stimulants.

Toxicity

for rats and dogs>5000mg Al/kg. Acute percutaneous LD50:for rats>5000mg/kg.Acute inhalation LC50(4-h)for rats>0.55mg/l air(aerosol).In 2-y feeding trials NOEL for rats 100mg/kg diet.ADI for man 0,01mg/kg body weight.
