Trypsin is a kind of serine proteolytic enzyme, extracted from healthy porcine pancreas or bovine pancreas and further prepared by a special process. the characters is white or almost white crystal powder, odourless, hygroscopic. It is a single peptide chain composed of 223 amino acid residues. With rigorous specificity, the trypsin specifically acts on peptide linkage composed of the basic amino acid arginine and leucine. Enzyme easily autolyzes by itself, and its activation reduces or loses gradually. Trypsin is easily soluble in the water, but insoluble in trichloromethane, ethanol, etherand and glycerin.

Solubility: An amount, equivalent to 500000 USP Trypsin unit, is soluble in 10ml of water and in 10ml of saline.
