Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP); Cas No:-66170-10-3 ; Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is phosphorylated sodium salt of L-Ascorbic acid. Greater than 10% concentration of Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate has been clinically demonstrated to reduce skin roughness and intensity of age spots. It is also used in the treatment of acne vulgaris. Although, Vitamin C is a well known skin whitening agent, its application is limited due to the fact that it is easily discolored by oxidation. On the other hand, the stability of Vitamin C derivatives can be improved by converting it into other derivatives-Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is highly imporoved and once it is absorbed by skin, it quickly decomposes into Vitamin C to exert the physiologicsl action of Vitamin C.
