TAUROURSODEOXYCHOLIC ACID Usage And Synthesis
Drugs and clinical application Tauroursodeoxycholic acid ,also known as taurocholic ursodeoxycholic acid, the chemical name is 3α, 7β-dihydroxy bile alkanoyl -N- taurine ,it is mainly present in the black bear bile, It is the active ingredient in bear bile landmark. It has many effects such as antispasmodic, anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory and dissolve gallstones and so on. 
Modern synthetic drug Tauroursodeoxycholic acid, it is the conjugated bile acid which is through anhydrosynthesis of the carboxyl of ursodeoxycholic acid and amino group of taurine . Foreign Tauroursodeoxycholic acid capsules are already on the market ,in 2007it is approved for sale in China as an import drug , it is mainly used for the treatment of cholesterol gallstones, primary sclerosing cholangitis, primary biliary cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis C virus hepatitis. Currently Tauroursodeoxycholic acid material drugsand its preparations are not registered in China. 
Tauroursodeoxycholic acid is a natural bile acid separated from the bear bile,it is a chemical, in the body it is combined with taurine to be present in bile, it is a hydrophilic acid, as a cholesterol gallstones dissolving agent.it Can reduce the secretion of cholesterol in the liver, and lower cholesterol saturation of bile, and promote the secretion of bile acids and it can increase the solubility of cholesterol in the bile, so that it can make cholesterol gallstones dissolve or prevent the formation of stones. It can Increase the secretion of bile, and relax bile duct mouth sphincter to produce choleretic effect, it is conducive to discharge stones. This product can not dissolve other types of gallstones.it is Useful in the treatment of cholesterol stones, hyperlipidemia, bile secretion disorders, primary biliary cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis, bile reflux gastritis and prevention of liver allograft rejection and reaction. Litholysis effect of this product is slightly weaker than the CDCA.
