Introduction:

 

The herb is bitter, sweet and puckery in flavour, slightly cold in nature, and acts on the lung,

liver and stomach channels. Being sticky, puckery and acting on blood; having strong effect of

stopping bleeding by astringency, the herb is indicated for hemoptysis, haematemesis, traumatic

bleeding and other kinds of bleeding caused by hurt in the lung and stomach. With its astringing

nature, it can also be used to heal wounds and promote tissue regeneration.
