May generate hydrogen, a flammable gas, in combination with strong reducing agents such as hydrides.
Health Hazard ACUTE/CHRONIC HAZARDS: When heated to decomposition Acid Violet 49 emits very toxic fumes of nitrogen oxides, ammonia, sodium oxide and sulfur oxides.
