Usage Diethyl Ethylphosphonate can be used as a flame retardant, and also used as a general reagent in phosphinoalkene and phosphinoalkyne synthesis.
General Description Colorless liquid with a mild odor.
Air & Water Reactions Slightly water soluble. May hydrolyze under acid or basic conditions .
Reactivity Profile Organophosphates, such as DIETHYL ETHYLPHOSPHONATE, are susceptible to formation of highly toxic and flammable phosphine gas in the presence of strong reducing agents such as hydrides. Partial oxidation by oxidizing agents may result in the release of toxic phosphorus oxides.
