Important characteristics:
Ethyl Cellulose (DS: 2.3~2.6) is a nonionic cellulose ether.
1. Uneasy to burn.
2. Good thermo stability and excellent thermo plasticity.
3. Not discolor by sunlight,
4. Good flexibility.
5. High dielectric.
6. Excellent base-resisting and acid-resisting capability
7. Fine anti-ageing capability
8. Good salt-tolerance and cold-resistant
9. Stable for chemicals, and not deteriorate for a long time
10. EC can company with a lot of resin and all plastizer.

Applications:
Pharmaceuticals
EC can be used as film former, binder, dispersing agent, stabilizer, water retention agent and controlled release agent in many kinds of medicine.

Coating
EC can make up some printing and coating; The coating films have good glossiness and excellent sticking capability and flexibility.

Plastic
EC can make up the plastic powder which is easy to take shape, improve cold-resistant property and so on.

In other industry
EC is used as a temporary coating for fluorescent lamp tube so as to raise the viscosity of phosphor and harden the glasses' surface. In addition, it is used in electricity conductive printing ink which is used in the basement fake in integrated circuit.

Dissolving:
The usually used solvents of EC (DS: 2.3-2.6) are aromatics and alcohols. The aromatics are benzene, and xylene, suitable percent: 60-80%. The alcohols are methanol and ethanol etc. Suitable percent: 20-40%.
EC is slowly added to the vessel with organic solvent while stirring, until it is completely wet and dissolved.

Package:
It is packed fiber drum (lined with polyethylene bag). Net weight: 20kg per drum.
