UV-P is a benzotriazole type ultraviolet light absorber, impacting good light stability for plastics and other organic polymers. UV-P protects polymers as well as organic pigments from UV radiation helping to preserve the original appearance and physical integrity of engineered plastics,elastomers,PVC, adhesives, and polyurethanes during outdoor weathering.

It must be stored in closed containers in dry cool conditions. The shelf life is two years in origina ,unopened containers.

Applications

As the ultraviolet absorption agent, it is availale to polyester,epoxy,cellulose acetate, PVC, polystyrene, plexiglass and polyacrylonitrile resin etc.

For Polypropylene

Unsaturated polyester : 0.2-0.5 WT% based on polymer weight

PVC: 0.2-0.5 WT% based on polymer weight

Plasticized PVC: 0.1-0.3WT% based on polymer weight

Polyurethane 0.2- 1.0 WT% based on polymer weight

Polyamine 0.2-0.5% based on polymer weigt

For polyamine: 0.2-0.3WT% based on polymer weight

For polyester: 0.2-0.3WT% based on polymer weight
