Suberic acid, also octanedioic acid, is a dicarboxylic acid, with formula C6H12(COOH)2 Suberic Acid, C-8 dicarboxylic acid, is a white flake or powdered crystal. It is resolved in ethanol, ether and soluble slightly in water. Dicarboxylic acid can yield two kinds of salts, as they contain two carboxyl groups in its molecules. Suberic Acid and its derivatives have a variety of industrial uses as plasticizers, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, cosmetics, candles, etc. It is used in the synthesis of polyamide and alkyd resins.  It is also used as an intermediate for aromatics, antiseptics and painting materials.Please contact us for a specific offer.
