General description

Elastase is a kind of serine protease, composed of240 amino acid residues in a single peptide chain . Mr is about 25000daltons, PI is 9.5  It can hydrolyzeamino compounds and esters. Soluble in water , insoluble in ethanol ,hydroscopic.
