Cosmetic use:

5-Aminolevulinic Acid Hydrochloride is used in variety ways to treat skin problems.It works extremely well on the skin cancer patient and acne problem.It is also used in photo dynamic therapy and has trichosis effects.

As the study shows that number of skin cells is multiplied by 60% after treated with 5-Aminolevulinic Acid Hydrochloride therefore it enables skin cells to regenerate faster.

 

 

Agriculture use:

In plants, production of 5-Aminolevulinic Acid Hydrochloride is the step on which the speed of synthesis of chlorophyll is regulated. Plants that are fed by external 5-Aminolevulinic Acid Hydrochloride accumulate toxic amounts of chlorophyll precursor, protochlorophyllide, indicating that the synthesis of this intermediate is not suppressed anywhere downwards in the chain of reaction.
