It is mainly used as a raw material for producing surfactants for producing sorbitan fatty acid esters, glycerin fatty acid esters, ethylene glycol or propylene glycol fatty acid esters. It can also be used to produce isopropyl myristate. Also used in defoamers and flavoring agents. According to China's GB2760-89 regulations can be used to prepare a variety of flavors.
