Cefoperazone for the third generation of cephalosporin, for e. coli, klebsiella bacteria genera, proteus, typhoid salmonella, shigella, citrate bacillus genus enterobacteriaceae bacteria and pseudomonas aeruginosa has good antibacterial effect, the intestinal bacteria, product gas sewer rat intestinal bacteria, such as salmonella typhi and acinetobacter effect is poorer. Neisseria gonorrhoeae and neisseria meningitidis are highly sensitive to this product. This product also has the good effect to each group streptococcus, the pneumococcus, only has the moderate effect to staphylococcus (methicillin-sensitive strain), enterococcus is resistant to medicine. Cefoperazone has a good effect on most gram-positive anaerobic bacteria and some gram-negative anaerobic bacteria. Cefoperazone is less stable to most beta-lactamases. This product mainly inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell wall.
