Chitosan oligosaccharide is an oligomer of chitosan, and it is made through the decomposition of chitosan. The average molecular weight of chitosan oligosaccharide is less than 5,000 Da. Chitosan oligosaccharide has better water solubility than Chitosan. It is yellow powder with molecular formula of C12H24N2O9 and CAS number of 148411-57-8.
