Esomeprazole is the S-isomer of omeprazole, which reduces gastric acid secretion through specific raking mechanism and is a specific inhibitor of proton pump in parietal cells. Action site and mechanism: Esomeprazole is a weak base, which is concentrated in the acidic environment of parietal cells secreting acid microtubules and transformed into active form, thus inhibiting H+/k+-ATP (proton pump) in this part, and inhibiting both basic gastric acid secretion and stimulated gastric acid secretion.
