Nitenpyram Warm Tips
1. Harmful if swallowed.
2. Keep out of the reach of children.
3. May cause sensitization by skin contact.
4. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection.
5. Irritating to respiratory system and skin.
Nitenpyram First Aid Measures
General advice: Consult a physician.
If inhaled. If breathed in, move person into fresh air.
If not breathing, give artificial respiration
In case of skin contact, wash off with soap and plenty of water
In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 min.
If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting.
Nitenpyram is used orally with dogs and cats to control fleas. After ingestion, it begins killing fleas within 30 minutes and kills all adult fleas within 4 hours. The effects of nitenpyram last approximately 24–48 hours.
Nitenpyram is safe to use on puppies and kittens as young as four weeks old if they weigh at least 2 pounds (0.91 kg).
Panting and excitement have been noted in cats within 2 hours of administration. In heavily infested animals, it can cause extreme itching as the fleas die.
