It is white or light yellow crystalline powder, odourless, tasteless, soluble in acetone, slightly soluble in methanol, chloroform and ethyl ether, almost insoluble in water.

Indometacin or indomethacin is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) commonly used as a prescription medication to reduce fever, pain, stiffness, and swelling from inflammation. It works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, molecules known to cause these symptoms.

Usage:

Indomethacin also called indomethacin, is effect and stronger than corticoid anti-inflammatory and antipyretic and analgesic,
