A white crystalline powder or white or colorless aclcular crystals.Sweet first and then hot,no
chemical change in the air.Atmospherically sublimation temperature over 76C.Easily to
decarboxylate and change into phenol and dioxide when heated atmospherically.Freely
soluble in alcohol and in ether,sparingly soluble in methylene chloride slightly soluble in
water.It' s aqueous solution appears acid reaction,becomes purple with FeCl3.

Usage

Medicine of disinfection and antiseptic for dissolving skin cutin hyperplasia and skin mould

infection.It is widely used in pharmaceuticals,food,fragrances,agrochemicals and dyestuffs.
