Ganciclovir , chemically named 9- (1,3-, two hydroxy, -2-, methyl methoxy) guanine, is a nucleoside antiviral drug and is a nucleoside derivative of guanine. With broad-spectrum and highly effective inhibition of herpes virus, it is the first choice for the treatment of CMV infection, and also plays a strong role in hepatitis B virus and adenovirus.
