Deoxyarbutin is a new generation of cosmetic brightening and whitening agent. It is mainly used in advanced whitening cosmetics. It can effectively inhibit tyrosinase activity, regulate melanin production, overcome pigmentation, lighten skin black spots, and has a rapid and lasting skin whitening effect. Deoxy arbutin also has a strong antioxidant effect. Deoxyarbutin is superior to other whitening agents in inhibiting tyrosinase activity. Its whitening effect is 350 times that of arbutin, 150 times that of kojic acid and 10 times that of hydroquinone. Compared with the former, deoxyarbutin is safer and more stable. It is not only non-toxic and non-irritating to skin, but also easily absorbed by skin and can be displayed in a small amount. The whitening and brightening effect is considered to be a very safe whitening agent for cosmetics.
