Product introduction

Olivetol is an important drug intermediate. Olivetol was first developed by degrading lichenic acid (also known as D-cerosol acid and valerine acid) extracted from lichen plants.

It is mainly used in laboratory development and chemical production. Olivetol is a natural polyphenolic compound found in lichens, or produced by some insects.

Olivetol competitively inhibited the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2, and inhibited the activity of CYP2C19 and CYP2D6, with IC50 values of 15.3 μM, 7.21 μM, 2.71 μM, 2.87 μM, respectively.

Features

Olivetol has a variety of biological activities, against a variety of pathogens of fungi and bacteria are effective. In recent years, it has been found that high concentrations of 3, 5-dihydroxyalkylbenzene can break DNA in the presence of copper chloride and oxygen. Therefore, it can be used to inhibit and treat human immune deficiency, cancer and other malignant tumors caused by retrovirus. Hydroxy alkylbenzene can also be used to synthesize cannabinoids, a class of chemically similar substances in cannabis that are related to the physiological activity of the human body. Applications

Olivetol is used as a template molecule in the synthesis of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP). It is also used as an inhibitor of the (S) -phenylalanine 4' -hydroxylase activity of recombinant CYP2C19. Olivetol also known as olivine alcohol or 3, 5-dihydroxypentylbenzene, is a natural polyphenolic compound that is a precursor used in the synthesis of tetrahydrocannabinol and has antibacterial,  immunoreactive effects. Olivetol is a competitive inhibitor of the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2.
