Packaging and storage: 25KG/ cardboard barrel, shielded and sealed, stored in a cool and dry place.
 
Product overview: povidone iodine is a complex of povidone K30 and iodine, which has strong killing effect on bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold and spores.  Stable, non-irritating and completely water soluble.
 
Mechanism of action: PVP is a hydrophilic polymer and has no antibacterial effect. However, due to its affinity to cell membrane, it can directly introduce iodine to the cell surface of bacteria, which is of great significance to improve the antibacterial activity of iodine.  The target of iodine attack is bacterial cytoplasm and cytoplasmic membrane, killing bacteria immediately in a few seconds.  When molecules necessary for biological survival such as hydrophobic compounds, peptides, proteins, lipids and cytosines come into contact with PVP-I, they are immediately oxidized or iodized by iodine, causing them to lose their activity and achieve a long-term bactericidal effect.
 
Nature and characteristics:
 
1. Brown yellow or brown red powder, with light special smell, soluble in water and ethanol, insoluble in diethyl ether and chloroform, good stability and no irritation.
 
2. It has strong killing effect on bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold and spores, and is the first choice of iodine-containing bactericide in the world.
 
3. The aqueous solution of this product has no shortcomings of iodine tincture, light coloration, easy elution, little irritation to mucous membrane, no need of iodine removal with ethanol, and no corrosion.
