Chemical Properties | Green crystals. Soluble in water; ethyl, methyl, and amyl alcohol. |
Uses | A triphenylmethane dye with fungicidal and limited antiseptic activity. The term Malachine green applies to the oxalate as well as the chloride. Harmful if swallowed. Avoid release to the environment. |
