Tablet formulation

Benzalmonium chloride is a cationic surfactant broad spectrum fungicide, which inhibits its metabolism and kills it. It has strong effect on gram-positive bacteria, but has no effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa, acid-fast bacteria and bacterial spores. It can quickly bind to protein and significantly reduce its effect in the presence of blood, cotton, cellulose and organic matter.

The concentration below 0.1% is not irritating to the skin.

Benzalkonium chloride paste: effective against gram-positive and negative bacteria, some fungi, vaginal trichomonas, use and adverse reactions with benzalkonium

Bundy benzalkonium chloride paste

Ammonium bromide is similar.
